WINMARK HOMES SUPPORTS MARCH OF DIMES

SUWANEE – Winmark Homes recently teamed with the March of Dimes to help fight newborn prematurity. Employees from Winmark Homes’ corporate office participated in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica at Lake Lanier Islands April 28. Participants included team captains Jennifer Hout, Nadia Busch, Princitis Snorton and Rebecca Swilling. Winmark employees raised over $5,000 for the March of Dimes through a variety of activities, including bake sales, corporate donations and employees paying to wear blue jeans on certain days each week.

“Winmark Homes has always been a proud supporter of the March of Dimes, and we’re honored to have these ladies go the extra step and put physical effort into helping save premature babies,” said Michelle Jenkins, President of Winmark Homes. “To fight premature births in America, it will take everyone’s work, and we’re glad that Winmark Homes continues to do its part.”

Premature birth is the No. 1 cause of newborn death in America, affecting half a million babies annually. The March of Dimes raises awareness of prematurity as well as money for research to help find cures for premature births.

In addition to the March of Dimes, Winmark Homes has supported the 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk benefiting the Susan G. Komen For the Cure foundation, as well as various Gwinnett County nonprofit organizations.
